About the Role

As an HVAC-R Technician, you’ll be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems. You’ll diagnose issues efficiently, deliver high-quality workmanship, and represent the business professionally on-site.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and diagnose faults in Commercial Refrigeration & HVAC systems
• Repair or replace faulty components
• Carry out commercial refrigeration & HVAC installations to specification
• Commission systems and ensure correct operation on completion
• Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Deliver excellent customer service and clear communication

Where You’ll Work

You’ll service a wide variety of sites, including:

• Fast food restaurants
• Nightclubs & hospitality venues
• Petrol stations
• Supermarkets
• Pharmaceutical facilities
• Wine cellars
• Residential work (limited)

No two days are the same — boredom doesn’t exist here.

Systems You’ll Work On

• Split & ducted air conditioning systems
• Cold rooms & freezer rooms
• Rack systems
• Under-bench refrigeration
• Water-cooled & dry coolers
• Positive & negative pressure sites
• Humidity-controlled environments

What We’re Looking For

• Certificate III in Air Conditioning & Refrigeration
• Current Refrigerant Handling Licence (ARCtick)
• Minimum 3 years’ experience (newer techs considered with the right attitude)
• Current driver’s licence
• Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills
• Clear communication and customer-focused approach
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in your work
• Team-first mindset
• Australian citizenship or permanent residency (required)
